Located all over the world from Boston to Seoul to Christchurch, the 12 undergraduate members of the Kroks of 2021 were involved in a variety of projects throughout the year, from our contributions to the Year To Remember project to the Kroks’ very first Christmas Album. The year even had a few virtual gigs sprinkled here and there, a series of experiences that somehow were both wonderful and very strange at the same time. Adam Mombru, our Music Director, and I are deeply grateful to every member of the group who have in a heartbeat taken up the unique challenge of recording and producing some outstanding music this year.

For the Year To Remember project, we recorded a total of five songs: Sesame Street Medley, Georgia On My Mind, God Only Knows, Walk Between Raindrops, and Inochi No Namae (from Spirited Away, the acclaimed Japanese animated fantasy film). Adam carefully selected these tunes to represent a snippet-preview of what the future of the Krok sound beholds; with the rest of the YTR album being trips down memory lane for the rest of the cohorts involved in the project, our hope is that through these tracks, you will be able to hear glimpses of how the Krok music will continue to evolve in the years to come.
